Product Introduction
Glass-fiber-reinforced graphite yarn is a sealing material made by combining expandable graphite with alkali-free fiberglass. The alkali-free glass fiber acts as reinforcement, evenly distributed in the graphite matrix to form a three-dimensional network structure. This effectively reduces the burn-off loss of the graphite yarn at high temperatures and improves mechanical strength and thermal stability. The composite structure retains graphite's excellent sealing performance and chemical corrosion resistance while enhancing tensile strength and abrasion resistance through the glass fiber reinforcement, extending service life.
Glass-fiber-reinforced graphite yarn offers excellent thermal stability, maintaining good elasticity and sealing performance at high temperatures. It also has a low friction coefficient and good self-lubrication. Its unique composite structure keeps a stable seal under temperature fluctuations and pressure variations, effectively preventing media leakage — particularly suitable for demanding industrial sealing applications.
Applications / Fields of Use
Suitable for sealing in high-temperature, high-pressure and corrosive media environments, especially for stuffing box seals in pumps, valves, compressors and reactors in the chemical, petroleum, power and pharmaceutical industries. The product handles acids, alkalis, organic solvents and other media, performing well in steam, hot water and oil fluid systems — especially in equipment subject to wide temperature swings or vibration.
